The Perfect Prom

Every girl has always dreamed of having a perfect fairy tale prom, the perfect prince charming for a date, and the perfect dress to dance the night away with. I want that "perfect" prom story. Who doesn't?

Today marks 20 days before prom! I am overwhelmed with anxiety. Not only does is this prom, but it is also my last dance of high school. PRESSURE. Guys think they have it hard with having to pay for the tickets and dinner, BUT girls have it just as bad! Maybe even worse!

Here is just a list of what I need to accomplish in preparation for the big night:

1. Buy a prom dress (This process can take hours, even days!)
2. Schedule appointment for hair and makeup
3. Get a manicure
4. Watch what I eat.

Okay looking at the list may not seem like a lot, but hey all the guys have to do it rent a tux! I am so curious to how this night is going to be. HOPEFULLY AWESOME! As cliche as it may be, I would love prom to play out like a movie. EXCEPT for what happens after prom. That's DEFINITELY NOT going to happen. Before I get into details, I wish all my fellow seniors luck with everything!

     Let's do this!

Acceptance

After every relationship whether it was only for 2 days, 2 weeks, or 2 years, that emotional attachment will always be there. There is always a next chapter after a breakup. We can chose to linger in the pain, or accept and move on. It may seem like the end of the world now, but in time, you will see that everything happens for a reason.

Coming from a senior girl's perspective where love can feel like everything; here are some ways to help get over the "man of your dreams."

Step 1: Delete all your texts with your ex. By deleting conversations, you will not be tempted to read and feel hurt again.

Step 2: Delete pictures of this person. You don't need to be reminded of the past.

Step 3: Change your surroundings. Whether is it a new bed sheet or changing up your routine, will help you gravitate to newer things.

Step 4: Have fun! Surround yourself with loved ones! Do what makes you happy! Try something new and take risks. After all, tomorrow is a new day. :)

In time, you will find someone that deserves to be loved and to love you!

Our Last Spring Break

Spring break, the break of all breaks, the break where all high school students look forward too, and my last spring break in high school. And let me tell you, it flew by in a blink of an eye. I don't think I have ever had this much fun on a spring break.

Tuesday: I finally took my driver's permit, and PASSED! Never thought I could pass with only two days of studying. Hopefully before my senior year ends, I can officially become a California licensed driver!

Wednesday: Not only that, but I went to Huntington beach with my closest friends. It was a great experience that I will never forget!

Thursday: Two of my best friends and I had to get up bright and early to go to Disneyland! You read that right, DISNEYLAND and CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE! It was a day filled with nothing but laughter, fun, and risk taking. Both my friends and I gathered enough courage and rode a roller coaster!

     Friday: Pool party!

Saturday: Writing this blog and recollecting the memories I've made this spring break! Later on today, I will be prom dress shopping too! Wish me luck!

If I could relive each and every single one of these days, I would without any hesitation!
